My turn to belatedly chime in. We've had kids & grandkids here; all is chaos and although I loved it, a little quiet birding would now be very welcome.

Your ability to capture specifics--not just birds, but gestalt and all-- amazes me. I'll have to correct a number of details in my own journal, not to mention several birdnames (I'm going to blame the latter on your Londonish accent, but my ignorance certainly plays a part).

Our trip was great; your advice and company were integral to its success. Somewhere you should post (if you refuse to publish them) your "short stories" of adventures all over the world. These entertained us well in the occasional dull (or rainy) moments.

Just before Jean-Pierre's birthday I found Thai Green curry and fish sauce in a local market; we are going to do our best, but will probably have to come back to Thailand to recreate some of those meals.

Carry on! Best wishes--
Linda and Jean-Pierre

Hello, Nick - Sorry to have delayed so long in sending you some photos. Income tax and a few other things intervened. Pam sent us the link to your blog, and we found it very useful - I have already reclassified a Sooty-headed bulbul (northern race) to a Brown-breasted bulbul. We selected nine pix that seem relevant to your diary; there are more, of course, but I expect that even nine are probably more than you want to deal with. The total file size is 14MB, but I can compress it, especially if you only need 72 dpi. Let me know your email address and anything else you need, and I'll send them along. We really enjoyed our trip with you and will gladly recommend you to any of our friends who might be planning a trip to Thailand.
